Self help resources

Moodjuice provides links to information and help in a number of areas of mental health.

​

Access to self-help guides relevant to a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, panic, PTSD and OCD is available here.

​

There are many helpful smartphone apps for mindfulness based meditation available. These include: Headspace, Oxford MBCT (free) and Calm.

​

The Get Self Help website offers a number of information leaflets and downloads that may be helpful.

MIND  offers considerable information about mental health resources locally and nationally.

​

Sane is a mental health charity, offering advice and support. SANEline (0300 304 7000) is accessible 4.30pm-10.30pm daily.

Papyrus (0800 0684141; pat@papyrus-uk.org) are a charitable organisation focusing on young people and suicide. 

​

The Recovery College  provides access to various web based mental health resources and courses. 

​

Local crisis services

I am unable to provide crisis support. If you require immediate support because you are in crisis or urgently need help NHS crisis teams operate 24hours a day 7 days a week.

The Haven also offers out of hours mental health support to people over 16 between the hours of 6pm and 11pm daily.  Telephone: 07483 141310

 

Kyra Women’s Project   is located in York. Kyra is a support hub aimed at providing safe and supportive space for women.
